Oxynoe viridis

Scientific name : Oxynoe viridis


Sap-sucking slug with globular shell, completely covered by the parapodia. Green colour, with white stains and scattered blue spots, long tail. 2 cm.
Two other species has been photographed in Bunaken, Oxynoe sp. 1 e Oxynoe sp. 2. O. viridis is identified by the blue spots. When disturbed, Oxynoe viridis can lose its tail (that will grow back) to confuse the predator.

Associated organisms
According the literature it should live in association with Caulerpa racemosa, we found it associated with Caulerpa sp.
