Banded boxer shrimp

Scientific name : Stenopus hispidus


Very long claws, held in a typical enlarge posture. Body covered with short spines and bristles. White and brown colour, in large bandes. Very long white antennae. 5 cm. Circumtropical.
It can be found in any environments, from lagoon and bay, to reef front and external reef, to caves.
It is a cleaner, it advertises moving the long antennae.
Clearly distinguished from the similar species by the white and brown banding.
