Scientific name : Acabaria
Colonies are dichotomously branching on a plane, or in untangled bushes, usually not very tall (20-30 cm). Many different colours. Transparent polyps, disposed along the 2 opposed sites of any branches, retractile inside prominent calyces. In some species the nodes (where branches start) have a different colour. The branches with polyps on the 2 sides are typical.
Associated organisms With commensal shrimps.
