Scientific name : Stephanogorgia

Very small, delicate colonies, profusely branched on one plane. Branches have often a zig-zag pattern. White or yellow colour, the golden colour of the main axis often visible through the very thin coenenchyme. Very small, non retractile polyps, disposed along 2 rows at the opposite sides of the branch. 15 cm. White Zignisis colonies have a similar aspect but a segmented axis.
