Scientific name : Thuridilla lineolata


Brilliant blue sacoglossa. The parapodia (the side expansions jining on the back), foot and the rhynophores tips have a large orange border. A black line always visible between blue and orange. Another black line behind the rhynophores. 2 cm.
Many Thuridilla species share a similar colour pattern, with brilliant blue and orange areas. Shape and extension of the orange lines are different. T. lineolata has large and straight orange stripes, and a black line behind the rhynophores. Among the more similar species, not included in this site, Thuridilla indopacifica, T. undula, T. neona, T. hoffae.

Associated organisms
Thuridilla can be observed while moving, crawling on sand or rocks, and not in association with any algal species.
