Elongated cuttlefish

Scientific name : Sepia cf. misakiensis


Medium size cuttlefish, cylindrical, elongated shape, with expanded fin. In this display it shows large skin flaps and a brown colour on the belly. Body 6 cm.
Sepia misakiensis is a species described in the islands in southern Japan. Our specimen has been photographed in Lembeh strait (North Sulawesi).
Photographed in bay.
By the cylindrical shape it resembles the description of Sepia misakiensis or S. tokioensis, two species known only in Japan.


Habitat: Coastal bay
