Sea cucumber
Scientific name : Ocnus planci
Sea cucumber with a long shaped body, slightly pentagonal in section and with a maximum length of twenty centimetres. It is distinctive the branched tentacles crown, which form a basket that the animal keeps erected. The colour of the body is based on brown and orange shades, sometimes in patches.
It lives up to two hundred and fifty meters of depth; it prefers hard bottoms, and it feeds by filtering the water column by means of its tentacles crown. The juveniles are able to reproduce by transversal division.
