Common octopus
Scientific name : Octopus vulgaris
Round body, with eight large tentacles, each one equipped with two rows of suckers. The mouth is placed between the tentacles, and its constituted by a strong corneal beak. Eyes are large and well-developed. The skin of the animal may change its colour due to mimetic requests or changes of temper.
It lives on rocky bottoms, also in shallow waters. Usually hidden in small holes, is more active during night time, when it is in search of preys, such as crustaceans and other molluscs.
