Scientific name : Eudendrium spp.


Eudendrium spp. forms tree-like colonies, sometimes with a planar development, grey or brown in colour with translucent or pink polyps, which become orange during the fertility period.
Polyps have stringy tentacles, radiating from the mouth.
Some species belonging to this genera may reach a maximum height of twenty centimetres.
They are typical of hard bottoms, well illuminated, in shallow waters, and may host in their branches wonderful nudibranchs, such as Flabellina spp. and Cratena peregrina.


Habitat: Caves and overhangs, Rock, Sea

Distribution: East Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea
