Encrusting colony, zooids tightly packed, horizontal, dark red or purple colour, silvery-white mark between the siphons.
Eusynstyela latericius, very similar, misses the white mark.

Associated organisms
Covers many other sessile animals: corals, bivalve shells, ascidians, spong.
