Scientific name : Clavelina flava


Trapezoidal zooids of small size (0.5 cm), in clusters originating from a common stalk. Highly variable colour, from white to orange, even within the same colony. When there are whiote spotted zooids, confusion is possible with Clavelina diminuta. In this latter the spots have a shape variable, but more defined and constant within the same colony. Forms beautiful multicolored pillows along vertical walls.

Associated organisms
Often found in the same environment with soft corals (Dendronephthya, Scleronephthya).
