High crest triplefin
Scientific name : Enneapterygius sp.
Small bottom fish, thin and long body, triangular head with long snout and prominent eyes, small tentacles around the eye. Transparent colour with reddish blotches and white spots. Three dorsal fins, the first, taller, is moved side to side above the head. 3 cm.
The head tentacles and the colour pattern distinguish it from Enneapterygius pusillus, but likely more undescribed Enneapterygius species exist.
Associated organisms Observed in association with gorgonians, or with dead colonies of gorgonians or black corals covered with hydroids, algae, ascidians.
